The spirit of The Art Muses program lies within its founder, Tracie Keatinge, whose passionate belief in the importance of art education for all children has evolved into a beautifully designed art enrichment curriculum.
Following years of volunteering in the classrooms of her own children, Keatinge recognized the need for a change and a fresh approach to arts education. In 2004, The Art Muses was launched at Circle View Elementary School, part of the Ocean View School District in Huntington Beach, California. Since its inception, Keatinge has remained a dedicated creative force on campus as a volunteer classroom instructor at the third grade level. In 2009, Keatinge expanded the curriculum to include, “Art Muses For The Masses”, an 8-week series of after-school visual art classes, which were quickly established among students and parents as Circle View’s most celebrated enrichment program of the year. Keatinge’s enthusiasm and energetic approach as a skilled arts educator have inspired thousands of students. Her programs have succeeded in providing a valued resource for elementary art appreciation, with high-interest art activities that cultivate a love and appreciation for the arts in future generations.
Tracie Keatinge resides in Huntington Beach with her daughters, Alexis and Natalie and her son, Zac, with whom she enjoys spending long weekends in as many book stores and museums as possible.
