"Dedicated to cultivating a love and appreciation for the arts in future generations"

Our Founder

The heart of The Art Muses program beats within its founder, Tracie Keatinge. Known as “Miss Tracie” to her adoring students, this author and publisher was raised in Santa Barbara County, on the scenic California coast, where her exposure rural beauty led to a passion for the arts. Enchanted by musicals at an early age, Keatinge spent many years performing on stage before settling in to her first career as a mother.

For more than ten years, Miss Keatinge has worked as an active parent volunteer in the public school system. Much of this time was spent teaching art in the classrooms of her children. She recognized the necessity for change and a fresh approach to art education, that would be in alignment with the California Visual Art Standards. The Art Muses art enrichment program was born out of personal experience in the classroom and a passionate belief in the importance of art in education.

The principal goals of The Art Muses program are to provide a resource for elementary art appreciation, high-interest art activities and the magical opportunity to inspire young minds. Keatinge resides in Huntington Beach, California, with her daughters, Alexis and Natalie and her son, Zac, with whom she enjoys long weekends, in as many book stores and museums as possible.
